At 21st Star Awards for TV last november 18 in Henry Lee Irwin Theater a controversy arise that Philippine Movie Press Club(PMPC) receives payment from Jodi Sta. Maria's camp to make her the winner but at the award night Sunshine Dizon won. Some story says that Sunshine Dizon won because they paid higher than Jodi's camp. Jodi Sta. Maria denies this issue while Sunshine Dizon keeps in silence.
PMPC denies this also made preliminary investigation and found no wrongdoing of their voting member.
